MINUTES OF 4TH AGM HELD ON 2ND AND 3RD JANUARY, 2009

Viz:

  1. Opening prayer

-      A prayer was led by a Muslim Member after which the motion for adoption of the agenda was moved by Dr. Idriss Audu Likita and seconded by Mallam Moh'd Gadi.

 

  1. Welcome address by the President

-      The President welcomes the general public to yet another AGM which is the 4th of its kind in the history of the Association. He  appreciated the commitment of members towards attendance and contribution. In his address, he notified members of the demise of some members namely: Mohammed Abdurrahman, Audu Mbico and ladan Shettima.  Condolences were paid to the families of the deceased by the EXCO on behalf of the Association. May their gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Finally, he urged all members to continue giving their support to the Association.

Items 3 - 5 above were not discussed due to the absence of the Secretary General at the AGM. He sent his apologies.

 

  1. Financial report

The financial report was read by the Treasurer after which discussions were held. The full report is presented below -     

 

-      Viz: -       Total income                    N800, 600.00

Total expenditure              N543, 300.00

Balance before AGM          N257, 300.00

 

 

After the presentation, members suggested ways of generating revenue to the association which includes registration of all members as required by the constitution and organizing cultural dances and other social activities.
